Should there be alittle if any opinion in them? As in would it decrease the strength of the argument if i threw in an opinion of my own that isn't backed up by a reliable source? Is there any such thing as to much information for an argument essay?
I'd say that you can use your opinion, provided that it has some back up. Basically, the whole argument essay is your opinion, backed up by facts. You want to watch out, so that your paper does not become so opinionated that readers stop trusting the facts and conclusions. There is definitely such thing as too much info. Most often it happens when there are just facts with no interpretation or claim. Remember, any fact/data you use has to have a specific purpose, i.e. prove a specific point you are making.
